Lisa’s still finding her footing after that horrible robbery in Coronation Street, and Carla’s been right by her side through it all. But while she’s been acting supportive on the surface, Carla’s secretly been up to something behind Lisa’s back, and tonight, she nearly got caught.
Lisa’s Still Not Herself in Coronation Street
Since freezing during that robbery, Lisa’s been off the job and going to therapy. She’s trying, but she told Carla this morning that she just can’t shake the feeling that she’s not the same anymore. She even said she might be done with her career altogether.
Carla tried to be comforting, but you could see how much it was bothering her. Later, at the factory, she couldn’t focus properly. And just when she left Michael Bailey alone with her laptop for a minute to make tea, well, that’s when everything got spilled.
Michael Stumbles on Carla’s Secret Plan
While using Carla’s computer, Michael spotted something she didn’t mean anyone to see, a letter arranging a prison visit to Logan Radcliffe. Yes, that Logan. The one behind Becky’s death, and the same man who’s caused nothing but pain for Lisa, Betsy, and Carla herself. Carla had planned to meet him to get answers for Lisa about Becky’s death. Michael was stunned.
He warned her it was a terrible idea and reminded her what kind of man Logan was. Then he asked her point-blank if she was going to tell Lisa but Carla didn’t give him an answer. Later on, when Carla got home, the vibe had changed completely. Lisa seemed more upbeat, wanting to make peace after the rough morning. She even suggested getting a takeaway and running a bubble bath for Carla.
Carla Says It’s Off But Is It Really?
Lisa told Carla she was ready to throw herself into getting her career back on track, and she thanked her for being such a rock through it all. Carla looked genuinely relieved. Then, when Lisa stepped out to grab the food, Carla quickly sent a text to Michael. She said she’d decided not to go through with the Logan plan after all. It sounded like that was the end of it.
But spoilers for next week (28th July to 1st August) have confirmed that Carla does go ahead and visit Logan in prison. So that message to Michael was just to throw him off. Maybe she’s trying to keep Lisa in the dark. Or maybe she’s convinced it’s still the right thing to do secretly.
Carla might think she’s protecting Lisa by keeping this quiet, but this is Coronation Street. Secrets don’t stay hidden for long. And when Lisa finds out what really happened, it could hit her like a ton of bricks, especially now, when she’s just starting to feel hopeful again.
If Carla’s not careful, this could seriously mess things up between them. One wrong move, and that bubble bath energy could turn into a full-blown showdown. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Coronation Street drama, secrets, and spoilers.
