Prince Edward’s Wife Honored Kate Middleton
The Duchess of Edinburgh is known to have a close bond with the Princess of Wales and found a touching way to pay tribute to cancer-stricken Kate after her absence from the State Banquet. On June 25, the 59-year-old wore a beautiful deep green couture gown from Suzannah London and teamed with magnificent diamond jewels.
Prince Edward’s wife wore it at the diplomatic dinner held in honour of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan’s state visit to the UK. She also chose to wear the Lotus Flower Tiara, known to be Kate’s favourite, and she was the last person to wear it at the Diplomatic Corps reception in 2022.

Furthermore, The Lotus Flower tiara was made by the House of Garrard in 1923 for Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. It was loved by Princess Margaret and still remains an integral part of the royal family’s jewellery collection. As per reports, the pearls and diamonds on the tiara are taken from a necklace that King George VI had gifted his wife for their wedding. In addition, this is the first time Sophie has worn this tiara publicly, as she is typically seen in the Wessex Aquamarine Tiara made for her by Collins & Sons.
