The Bailey Family Fallout Isn’t Easing Up
If you’ve been following the Bailey storyline lately, you’ll know things between Dee-Dee and her brother James have been messy. Ever since he came back to Weatherfield, the tension’s been building, especially around baby Laila.
Dee-Dee might say she doesn’t want to be Laila’s mum, but her decision to have the baby christened behind James’ back really set things off. They agreed to meet with a family facilitator to try and sort things, and James is now going after legal custody.
He’s hoping to get a Special Guardianship Order. But even though Dee-Dee keeps saying she doesn’t want to be a full-time mum, James is still unsure if she’ll even show up for the meeting.
Their dad Ed, bless him, just wants some peace in the house. The next morning at breakfast, he ends up begging them to try and sort things out. But with emotions running high, it’s anyone’s guess if the siblings will be able to patch things up.
James Makes a Big Move in
Things take a sudden turn when James gets a phone call while looking after Laila, it’s about a job back in America. And just like that, he decides to go for it. He says he’s still interested in the role and starts packing his bags. A show insider says James was hoping his trip home would be smoother.
But with all the drama between him and Dee-Dee, he’s more than ready to head back to his life in the States. Now, here’s the big question everyone’s asking, is he planning to take baby Laila with him? If he does, it could leave Dee-Dee facing something she hasn’t quite prepared herself for, losing Laila for good. Even if she’s not calling herself Laila’s mum, watching her niece leave could stir up some feelings she didn’t expect.
A New Spark for Dee-Dee in Coronation Street?
There’s a little light in Dee-Dee’s week though. Later on, she takes on a new client at work, and surprise, it’s Ollie, the flirty guy she met at the Rovers.
When she sees him again, she can’t help but smile. Our Corrie source says there’s definitely a spark between them, and now that they’re working together at Barlow Legal Services, this could be the start of something sweet for Dee-Dee. And honestly, after the rough time she’s had, she deserves a bit of happiness.
