It’s all getting too hot on Coronation Street, and Ronnie Bailey finds herself torn in the middle of a fierce blow-up with someone she knows all too well. Although the week begins just like any other in the cobbles, what happens shortly afterwards lays the groundwork for a bitter clash that doesn’t leave space for harmony. With long-held grudges simmering and neighbors lining up on both sides, Weatherfield could lose one of its most recent newcomers — if Ronnie gets his way.
Ronnie Discovers Debbie in Jeopardy — and a New Enemy in Mick
The tension between Ronnie and Mick Michaelis began for the first time when Debbie Webster would not cough up the whole £300 for Mick‘s call-out. The problem? Mick had arrived at the Chariot Square Hotel in the middle of a power cut, only to find out it was a scheduled one already known to Debbie. As all he had done was make a phone call, Debbie offered him half the amount instead — something that did not sit well with Mick.
Things only get worse when Mick blasts loud music next week over Kevin Webster’s attempts to sleep, annoying Debbie even more. Ronnie then comes to the house to find Alfie alone downstairs in the front room, the back door oddly left open. Panicked, he rushes outside — only to find Debbie lying on the ginnel, dazed and utterly disoriented.
Coronation Street: Ronnie Strikes Back
Throughout the week, Ronnie is increasingly furious as he watches Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown grow fond of Mick. Regardless of what a troublemaker he has been, they seem clueless. Ronnie, at the end of his rope, warns them that their new friend isn’t who he seems to be.
Keen to secure some form of retribution, Ronnie gets up and observes Mick departing before taking a knife to the tyre of one of his vans. What he does not know is that Debbie sees the whole episode. Subsequently, the drama climaxes at the Rovers when Mick demands payment in full for his last job and compensation for the slashed tyre, arguing that Ronnie had been caught on the van’s CCTV.
As the feud grows, only time will tell if the two men can bury their hatchets. But with Mick due to leave Weatherfield by the end of summer, the question is: will Ronnie’s rage be the final straw that sends Mick on his way? Only the upcoming Coronation Street spoilers can reveal. Until then, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more soap updates.
