The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers can confirm that Poppy confessed to Bill that he wasn’t Luna’s biological father. The drama played out earlier this year, but Don Diamont, who plays Bill, is not quite satisfied. “I suspected there was more to the story, for sure,” he shared. Interestingly, his suspicion rang true in the June 5th episode. The B&B viewers saw that a DNA test confirmed that Bill now has a daughter for the first time. So, what’s next for Don’s character? Find out in his own words!
The Bold and the Beautiful: Bill’s Happy to Have Luna
The Bold and the Beautiful star admitted not knowing how the storyline would play out, but he’s excited for his character. Moreover, Don believes that Bill having a daughter is wonderful and might help him correct past wrongs. The actor was referring to the phrase “when Bill was introduced to the show as the ultimate playboy and misogynist.” Plus, the character is equally overwhelmed by the news about Luna.
Furthermore, Diamont notes, “It just touches something in him. There is just something about having a daughter [that] really moves him.” He emphasizes how hard it is for Bill to grasp this, but he sees himself in her. He also knows she’s been affected by growing up without a dad. Naturally, seeing each other as father and daughter for the first time is very stirring. The star explains, “It’s kind of otherworldly. Bill has had these boys show up at his doorstep, and now there’s a daughter.”
The B&B character feels like he needs this relationship. It might open up parts of him that have been covered, even with his sons. According to Bill, it could touch Bill in ways other relationships haven’t. Meanwhile, Diamont is pumped to explore the new dynamic with Luna. He understands that relating to a daughter differs from relating to a son. Subsequently, how Bill has handled his sons’ issues over the years won’t work with a daughter. It’ll be more challenging for him to be tactful.
Luna Might Change the Dynamics Between Bill and Poppy
In addition, the news about Luna could also change the equation between Bill and Poppy. Don muses, “He is more grateful to have this child in his life than he is upset about the years gone by.” The CBS soap luminary suggests that this news bonds Bill to Poppy. She was special to him when they first met, and now she has given him a daughter. The expansion of Bill’s family has implications for other characters, too.
“He has obviously been a very conflicted, emotionally complex person, and he’s more aware of that now than he used to be.” The soap star is interested in seeing how the sibling dynamics evolve.” Diamont refers to Liam, Wyatt, and Will, Bill’s youngest son, “In business and inheritance, this could create strife.” Maybe the character tries to keep things balanced; perhaps he won’t. The dynamics will be fascinating to explore as they play out.”
For now, Diamont enjoys bonding with Lisa Yamada (Luna) and Romy Park (Poppy). “Lisa is wonderful, a talent, and a joy to work with, and so is Romy,” Diamont beams.
