We are happy to report the lovely news of our beloved The Young and The Restless alum – Hunter King’s engagement! The actress shot to fame for portraying the layered and complicated character of Summer Newman on the CBS sudser between 2012 and 2022. However, she bowed out of the soap to try other projects!
Ever since leaving The Young and The Restless Hunter King has been a regular on Hallmark Movies. Interestingly, the Hallmark chapter not only brought her added fame, but seems to have also brought her the love of her life! “Best day of my life🤍 @chriscope88 I can’t wait to marry your ass,” Hunter King wrote in the caption of her Instagram post that announced her engagement to Chris Copier.
Chris and Hunter have been dating for a while now but had been keeping their relationship under wraps. The Young and The Restless alum gave fans the first sneak peek of their relationship through a reel that she posted toward the end of 2023. It featured some videos and pictures of Chris.
The newly engaged couple first met on the sets of the film Give Me Your Eyes. Chris Copier was part of the film’s crew, while Hunter was starring as one of the leads of the film. The two hit it off on the sets, and their relationship grew with time. On October 19, 2024, Hunyer marked her 31st Birthday, and around the same time her boo decided to pop the question.
Hunter King’s reel beautifully captured the heartwarming beach proposal. In the video, Chris and Hunter can be seen sharing a romantic moment on the beach alongside their pooches. Chris then suddenly went down on a knee to propose. Hunter was so taken by surprise that she began to jump and then fell down to her knees to hug her partner.
It looks like Hunter and Chris make the perfect team in their personal as well as professional life. The two are still working together on more projects. In fact, one of their films is about to hit the screens shortly. It is named, Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story. Hunter stars in the film as Alana, while Copier is an assistant director for the film. debuts on Nov. 30 as part of Hallmark Channel’s 15th annual Countdown to Christmas.
