In an interview with TV Insider, the exceptional star opened up about his four-decade journey on the show and revealed shocking details. When asked if there was something he wished he could’ve played over the years, only one thing came to the actor’s mind: He said the writers should have involved a woman in his dramatic life other than Victor’s wife, Nikki.
It looks like Eric wanted his character’s relationship with Ashley Abbott to last longer. While shedding light on the same, he said, “Well, I kind of regret that there wasn’t this ongoing relationship with Ashley. That could have always been looming in the background. But other than that, to be frank with you, no.” Long-time viewers know that Victor and Ashley were an item but he wanted to be a bigger threat to him and Nikki.
Despite having disagreements about what comes to him from time to time, Braeden always wants to perform best on screen. He also highlighted that it gets tough on some days. But it is also rewarding. “That is the challenge, and it’s more of a challenge than you realize,” Braeden said. “But writers are the most unsung people in this business, really.” The star also talked about the heartbreak of losing his home in brutal LA wildfires.
