Every family has that one member who just hangs around the sidelines and never does anything of consequence. The Young and The Restless Spoilers point that Abby serves as that member for not one but two families, Newmans and Abbotts! Think about it, when was the last time we saw her taking part in any of the family drama?
That too in families that literally eat and drink drama for survival! In fact, her mother, Ashley Abbott, just went through the most discerning struggle with her mental health, and we did not see Abby coming in to see her even once. Forget visiting her, she hasn’t even uttered one word about it all. At this point, we are left wondering, is she even aware of it?
If not, then things can’t get any worse, really! To think of it, Abby is actually the daughter of the iconic Victor Newman, and has the bloodline of both the centerstage families. So, not making her a part of all the messy family drama is just crazy. Interestingly, back in the day, it was a running joke in her family that she was always the last to know.
Unfortunately, even those jokes have dried up with time, point The Young and The Restless spoilers. Hence, we can’t help but wonder if anybody would even notice if Abby just left at this juncture. sadly, the answer is, no they won’t. And that itself sets a clock on her time on the soap!

Perhaps, it really would be easier to write her out of the soap, given the lack of material that she has. I think Abby is a good actress, you need to give her a bigger line and I thought that was going to happen when she got on the board of Challanor Winters. I think she should be active there to keep Billy in line .
I will miss her. The writers could write something, they do for others. Give her a break. She is Ashley and Victor’s, she got it in her.
Yes, I would miss Abby. She is a terrific actor she just needs a good storyline
