Adam and Chelsea have recently been spending a lot of time together, trying to help their son – Connor, point The Young and The Restless Spoilers. The soap seems to be putting a lot of focus on the youngster’s ongoing mental health struggles. While mental health is a pressing subject on and off-screen, it also is a great storyline for Y&R!
There are just so many interesting directions the story can take with Connor. Currently, he is getting help to tackle with his OCD. But imagine what a twist it could be if Connor develops a dark side as a result of a mental breakdown. It could become all the more intense if the soap sends him away to a facility for a while and then bring him back to GC as an older teen.
The Young and The Restless Spoilers suggest that the soap really does need to begin establishing the next generation as soon as possible, so as to make the fanbase accustomed to newer faces, and make the transition from older characters to newer one smoother when the time comes. That’s the only way to keep a soap running for decades, no?
Coming back to the point in hand, we all know that for any soap to be gripping, it needs a solid villain. While, the older generation has no dearth of them, the younger one has none so far, point The Young and The Restless Spoilers.
Thus, establishing Connor as a evil Newman from the beginning could open the door for many tantalizing storylines once more younger faces come on-board. So, what do you say? Do not go there, kids today are already stressed to the limits, between news, what happrning in schools and the world, we need to let kids to be kids. We as fans want good things to happen in Genoa City, please no more villains. His parents are doing ever thing they can to assure their son has a good and normal life. I thought Alan was going to help him.
No! Definitely NOT! Genoa City has too many villains and we don’t need more.
The storyline should let Connor get the help he needs, then return home so he can show that getting therapy and/or any other medical attention works.
He should be a role model for so many humans working through these conditions every day as he becomes a teenager!
We can’t have Conner turn into a lost cause after we’ve spent years watching him grow & struggle to cope with his parents’ behavior. It’s one thing to have a character like Adam come on the scene, already mostly grown & causing trouble, but to take a child we have watched grow up on screen over the years, struggle with his parents’ misbehavior, and then turn him into a villain is not acceptable. Conner has to have redeeming qualities. Besides, if there are any teenagers watching the show now, you need to give them a storyline that highlights their struggles, but showcases the redemptive results of going through counseling and getting help.
They’ve tried to destroy Adam from the beginning don’t turn his son Connor into an evil teen! There are other ways to bring problems into the story lines without doing it with a child. This particular storyline with Connor and his struggles with OCD is enough!! Just one of many reasons we fans get so upset.
I think that that is exactly what they’re trying to do. Adam’s child will have mental problems. I hate it.
It’s not a good fit. Right now, its time the show starts to cultivate the next generation. Noah is M.I.A. with Ally, so you don’t show any type of progress in his life, personal nor professional. To close the gap, you have to have some type of engagement. At least a video call to his parents once a week. Maybe a news article about his success or even Ally creating her own perfume.
I think Connor is playing everyone trying to get his parents back together.
Please let Connor come home and be a peaceful loving son! Let’s put some love 🥰 into some of these stories, there is to much craziness in the world today, please let people watch something that isn’t always on an evil side, bring some good and love into a soap I love to watch!!❤️
No leave him alone and don’t rep!ace him with another actor. He’s been a great access to the show. Don’t throw him under the bus just because his parents are screwed up. He doesn’t deserve that. I’m sure you could find him a young girlfriend that’s his age who may have problems and he can help her cope. If you need help coming up with a storyline contact me , I can offer a few suggestions.
