Queen Elizabeth II Was Dubious Of Meghan’s Love!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married seven years ago at Windsor Castle. They tied the knot on 19 May 2018. However, Queen Elizabeth II had always harboured doubts about the couple’s relationship. Royal insider Sally Bedell Smith said that Queen Elizabeth II was dubious that Meghan Markle’s intentions weren’t just love. Furthermore, as per the Daily Beast, the royal insider shared details from a conversation with Lady Elizabeth Anson, who is the late monarch’s first cousin and old confidante.
Lady Elizabeth Anson was born in Windsor Castle. She disclosed to Sally Bedell Smith that two weeks before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage, the Queen started having some doubts. Though she didn’t specify the monarch, but made it clear who she was referring to. When they spoke two weeks before the wedding, Anson mentioned that Liza had heard the Number One Lady, often referred to as Queen, was unsure.
Queen Elizabeth II Didn’t Like Meghan’s Gown!
She said that she was concerned for Prince Harry as, according to her, he is weak about women. Meghan Markle doesn’t love him. Though the Duke of Sussex told the media that his grandmother was happy about his relationship, it is clear that she was dubious about it. When Sally spoke to the Queen, she disclosed she was not satisfied. Then, in 2020 and 2022, Anson and Elizabeth passed away, respectively.
Furthermore, Ingrid Seward, who is a royal biographer, wrote that Prince Harry’s mother only shared her opinion with her confidants, including Liza and Anson. She made only one comment on their wedding related to Meghan Markle’s gown, calling it too white. According to the Queen, the gown was not appropriate for someone who was getting married again after a divorce. She didn’t even like how the whole ceremony felt like a Disney movie.
