In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, Zayn shared that his daughter, Khai, loves to ask people whether all the songs belong to her dad. She loves asking, “Is my baba singing?” The One Direction alum welcomed Khai with his ex-girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, in 2020. Sadly, a year after their daughter’s birth, the couple called it quits.
While it was a tragic moment for Zayn, and it took him years to deal with his anxiety and other mental health-related issues, he has all grown up now. In the interview, Zayn Malik shared that his daughter is his true inspiration and has helped him become a better human. Her birth has given him a new purpose in his life.
While Zayn Malik was the first one to leave One Direction to start his solo journey, his life took upside-down after he faced social anxiety. But Khai has helped him with that. Now, he sees things differently in a positive way. Zayn co-parents Khai with her ex-partner Gigi Hadid. However, he wished to have more time with his daughter.
The singer got candid, saying that he only has his daughter 50 per cent of the time, but he wished to have her 90 per cent. However, it couldn’t happen. But Zayn Malik shared that they go to Disney on Ice or the Nickelodeon theme park whenever they spend time together. They also enjoy spending time on the beach.
The Pillowtalk singer shared that his favorite time of the day is when he spends time with Khai. He even shared in the interview that Khai knows how to play music. The singer shared that although Khai isn’t a professional artist, she knows the rhythm. When she hits stuff and drums, it sounds like music to Zayn’s ears.
However, the singer didn’t give credit to himself for Khai’s musical talent. He believes Khai developed this talent from her mom, Gigi Hadid. Zayn Malik went candid in adding that Gigi knows how to play guitar, and maybe Khai got that from her mom. While Khai plays a crucial part in Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid‘s lives, the singer wants to set an example for his kid.
In an interview with Kelly Clarkson on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer shared that Khai has boosted his confidence, and he wants to build the world better for Khai. Indeed, the singer is taking all possible measures to make it possible.
