EastEnders Zoe Slater might have come and gone as quickly as she arrived, but it is not over yet for her in Walford. Keep reading to find out more.
EastEnders: Zoe Makes A Dash For It After Emotional Reunion With Stacey
Zoe Slater, played by Michelle Ryan, came back onto EastEnders after a nearly 20-year absence only to leave again. She had been sharing a London flat with Stacey, but it was not long before Stacey learnt that Zoe was not precisely in a great place.
Alfie Moon learnt the truth, but Zoe pleaded with Alfie not to inform Kat Moon of her location. Still, when Kat unexpectedly appeared, Zoe freaked out and went into hiding. She then escaped again, resolved not to confront her estranged mum.
Kat’s suspicion increased further when Alfie said he was off to Australia. He was going to Barcelona to search for Zoe. Later, Stacey defended Alfie by explaining that he needed some space following a scare about cancer.
The million-dollar question is: What did Zoe do that was “so bad” she had to flee?
Zoe’s Exit Is Not Permanent; She Will Be Back
Although it seemed that Zoe had vanished forever, fans can chill out. A source confirms that Michelle Ryan will be back later this year, albeit on a more permanent basis.
Zoe was on EastEnders from 2000 to 2005. She fell for Dennis Rickman and got dragged into Den Watts’ death. Even now, the stories she was part of have not faded from memory.
She is most remembered for her dramatic confrontation with Kat when the truth about her mother came out.
The legendary “You are not my mother!” scene still leaves its mark on soap history.
Zoe’s return has only just started, and fingers crossed, the long-awaited reteam-up with Kat is yet to come. For more EastEnders spoilers and news, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
