Coronation Street brings a busy hour of drama tonight as Theo’s murder investigation takes new turns, Christina finally admits what she has been hiding, and Cassie finds herself facing a nasty threat. Meanwhile, Adam gets pulled into the mould scandal as Abi and Sally prepare to take action.
1. Lisa Spots Something Strange About Todd
Lisa tries to get Theo’s murder investigation moving again by questioning Maria once more about the alibi she gave Gary. The case has hit a stalemate, so Lisa keeps looking for anything that could open up a new line of inquiry.
Later, Lisa tells Todd about the lack of progress and notices his surprisingly unconcerned reaction. Todd had previously been desperate to see Theo’s killer caught, so Lisa cannot understand why he now seems so different. Viewers know Todd is covering for Sarah, but could Lisa work out what is really going on?
2. Christina Finally Admits The Truth in Coronation Street
George becomes furious after discovering Christina secretly meeting her ex-husband Lenny. At first, the situation looks suspicious, but Christina is not having an affair. Instead, Lenny has discovered she fraudulently took out a credit card in his name.
Christina then makes an even bigger confession. She admits she also used Mary and Glenda’s names in the same way and explains that her spending addiction drove her actions. Now George must decide whether he can continue supporting her after learning the full truth.
3. Kit Gets A New Reason To Suspect Gary in in Coronation Street
Kit suffers a major setback when his bosses remove him from Theo’s murder investigation and tell him to concentrate on other cases. Lisa will not work alone, though, because her colleague McLaughlin steps in to assist her with the case.
Even so, Kit cannot simply walk away. Maria later vents to him about Gary and complains about how much of a liar he is, immediately catching Kit’s attention. Could Maria’s angry words give him a reason to keep digging into Gary’s secrets despite his bosses’ orders?
4. Ross Blackmails Cassie Over Her Hotel Antics
Tyrone gets a huge surprise when his biological father, Ross, arrives to meet him. Hope and Ruby arranged the reunion after tracking Ross down through a DNA website, but Tyrone has no interest in building a relationship with the long-lost dad he has managed without for so many years.
Ross soon shows a much nastier side when he turns on Cassie. He orders her to persuade Tyrone to change his mind and give him a chance. If she refuses, Ross threatens to expose her recent drunken antics at the hotel, leaving Cassie under serious pressure.
5. Adam Faces A Difficult Choice in Coronation Street
Abi and Sally summon Adam to the Rovers for an important meeting as they prepare to take action over the mould scandal at Abi’s flat. They want the solicitor to support their plan to sue Idris after seeing how badly the situation affected Abi’s young son Alfie.
However, Adam has a personal complication to consider because Idris is Alya’s cousin. He now has to decide whether to help Abi and Sally take legal action despite the family connection, raising questions over which side he will choose.
