Actress Charlotte Bellamy reveals what’s next after her relationship with Jai Sharma fell apart. Viewers must remember that the split came after Laurel got suspicious when Jai had a heated argument with Eric Pollard. Soon after, she questioned her husband over Pollard’s behaviour.
With no choice left, he had to spill the secret. It was regarding his biological father Amit Sharms’s exit after Jai discovered that Amit killed Rishi. After the big revelation, Laurel was horrified by her husband’s actions and suffered a heart attack. As she recovered in the hospital, she declared the end of their marriage.
Actress Charlotte Bellamy revealed in a conversation with Inside Soap, “I don’t think there’s any way back for them as a couple now, sadly.” She explained that Laurel is firm in her decision and often reflects on her late husband Ashley’s goodness. She thinks no one will ever measure up to him, especially since he is almost ‘saintly’ and Jai is a ‘rotter.’

The soap actress added that Laurel’s heart attack prompted her to reassess her life and recognise things for what they indeed are. She highlighted that finding out about Jai’s actions made Laurel see her husband for who he was. The star added, “Laurel has a second chance at life, does she really want to be with a man like that?”
She looked forward to seeing Laurel navigate life as a single mother, expressing interest in exploring this new chapter. She mentioned that Laurel represents many women in their early 50s who are raising kids on their own. Charlotte speculated, “I’m sure she’ll have some dalliances and maybe even try online dating, but as for another long-term relationship, I’m not sure.”
