William Was Disturbed By Trump’s Comment On Kate
The Prince of Wales is very protective of his family, and when Donald Trump made harsh comments about his wife, he was furious for all the right reasons. In the latest royal biography on Kate, Catherine: The Princess of Wales, the author, Robert Jobson, delved into the drama that unfolded when pictures of Kate sunbathing topless in 2012 were published. The incident took place after their marriage when the newlyweds were vacationing in Provence, France.

A member from the paparazzi took long-lens photographs of the princess top as she sunbathed on the balcony of their chateau. As per Jobson, this was the royal couple’s first major altercation with the press, and the publications that illegally took the photos were sued for breaching privacy. This royal scandal soon became the talk of the town and made international headlines.
At the time, a royal spokesperson said the Prince and Princess of Wales were hugely saddened over the “grotesque and unjustifiable invasion of privacy” by a magazine which published topless photos of Kate. However, this didn’t stop the widespread circulation and commentary on the pictures. While addressing this issue, Donald Trump bluntly tweeted and blamed Kate for the whole scandal.
Robert Jobson also discussed this in his new book and wrote, “William was reportedly furious when Donald Trump tweeted, ‘Kate Middleton is great – but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude – only herself to blame.” He added that this entire issue had left the duchess feeling ‘violated.’
This comment from the former US President allegedly enraged Prince William. It seems like William and Kate were for the right reasons and paparazzi never really knows when and where they should draw boundaries when it comes to invading people’s privacy.
