EastEnders is hitting all the right chords for viewers by bringing back the nostalgia factor! With the BBC soap approaching its 40th anniversary, fans have been buzzing with speculation about yet another Walford icon’s return.
It was recently announced that Michael French and Patsy Palmer are all set to reprise their roles as David Wicks & Bianca Jackson. And now, someone very close to them might also make an explosive comeback. Who will it be? Read on to find out!
David & Bianca Are Returning, Will Carol Also Comeback?
Viewers of the BBC soap think they have worked out who might return to EastEnders next. Soap opera fans recently saw Jane Beale, Dean Wicks coming back to the show following a series of extraordinary returns in the past year including Cindy Beale. Now, fans think that with David Wicks’ return, his ex-wife, Carol Jackson, will also follow in the footsteps of his onscreen daughter and former lover.
Long-time viewers know that David and Carol were quite the couple. The duo was supposed to get married in 2013, but they didn’t get their happily ever after. This happened because David failed to show up at their wedding after suffering a heart attack, and Carol thought he had jilted her. Even after reconciling, David made a horrifying move and eloped to America, leaving Carol heartbroken.
However, those things are in the past, fans are really excited to see David once again on the BBC One soap. His return this time will coincide with his & Carol’s onscreen daughter, Bianca Jackson, who departed from the series in June.
We know she had a massive fall-out with her daughter Whitney and sister, Sonia Fowler. This whole news about David and Bianca coming to Walford has sent the rumour mill spiralling, and now fans think that Carol will also return to add her side of drama.

One of them wrote, ‘David Wicks & Bianca Jackson returning, I’m just hoping that Carol Jackson’s return is yet to be announced.’ ‘If David Wicks is coming back…Please bring Carol Jackson back too,’ tweeted another.’
As for her stint on the longest-running show, Bianca’s mother was a part of many big storylines, including the death of her son, Billie, battling with breast cancer.
