Nicola Will Arrive With A BANG!
In true soap fashion, Laura Doddington will reach Walford as Nicola Mitchell with a mission and unstoppable determination. The character is coming fresh from Bali, and the visit will not be casual, as she’s here to protect her family. Nicola will arrive in Albert Square next week and start looking for her ex-husband, Teddy, and sons Harry and Barney. During an interview, Laura teased that she will have many agendas as she sets foot in Walford.
Speaking about her EastEnders’ character, she said, “Nicola is a woman who knows her mind and isn’t intimidated by anyone or anything. What I love about her is that she is an intelligent woman and quite witty. So, you can expect a woman who is not afraid to make her mark.” She also highlighted that Nicola wants to get back with Teddy but her manipulative behaviour makes her former lover furious.
We also got a sneak peek into their love story; the pair got together when they were young and got old together. Teddy and Nicola both know about pushing each other’s buttons very easily so they will tread lightly. Doddington also shed light on the couple’s divorce and noted, “I think the divorce is heartbreaking and infuriating. Nicola is used to getting what she wants. There is a human trait that we all have of, ‘I want it. Why can’t I have it?’

EatEnders spoilers also reveal that Nicola will have a clash with Sharon as soon as she arrives. Now that Teddy and Sharon share a flirtatious bond, this will not sit well with Nicola, and she will take appropriate action. “The scene is so much fun because they clash right away!” said Doddington. “Letitia Dean [who plays Sharon] is heaven to work with, and our first scene contains a line that’s my favourite I’ve ever said on screen!”
The newcomer gave insight into how Nicola isn’t interested in women or female friendships, so she might be rude to every one of them initially. It looks like Nicole will only turn nice to someone when she needs to take advantage of someone. Something tells us Honey and Billy will need to play safe in the coming weeks.
