EastEnders spoilers have confirmed that New Mitchell Nicola is all set to make a huge impression on Walford residents in the forthcoming week. In October, the BBC soap announced that Teddy Mitchell’s estranged wife, Nicola, will join the show in autumn. The bosses have signed up Laura Doddington for the role, who is best known for her roles in Doctors, Holby City, and The Midwich Cuckoos.
We initially heard Nicola’s name after Harry spoke about her during their housewarming party and claimed that ‘you know who’ had been sniffing around their old house. We recently saw Barney leaving Walford to meet his mother after having a fight with his father. As for the current stint of Mitchells, Harry is working with Penny to blackmail Jack, but the tables will turn once Penny gets to know the truth about Harry’s ex, Shireen, who disappeared.

After learning the truth from Felicity, Penny is shocked. Later, the police arrive to arrest Harry as Jack and Penny watch him being taken away. It is at this moment that Nicola dramatically arrives in Albert Square, and this will obviously leave Teddy worried. The newcomer will tell her ex-husband that she’s here to help Harry, but her first task will be to find out Penny’s involvement in it.
We will also witness Nicola trying to stir the pot as she holds onto a big secret. She will soon get under his skin and take a hunch at Sharon – who Teddy has been flirting with recently. Nicola will meet with Honey and Billy and talk about her marriage with Teddy.
