In the upcoming episodes, the lake is dredged due to the slurry leak at the Home Farm. John Sugden framed Mackenzie Boyd to get revenge on him. It is soon revealed that there is a body in the lake. Before the body is identified, there are rumours in the village. This makes the Miligans anxious. Ruby, Caleb, Cain and Chas fear that it could be Anthony’s body in the lake. So, they fear that the murder mystery might be out.
When John was told to hide Anthony’s body, he told him to bury it in the woods, but it wasn’t there. He never revealed where the body was or what he had done with the body. So, they think that he might have dumped him in the lake. Moreover, when they learn it’s been only a few months since the body has been in water, this makes them further dubious.
Ruby Confesses The Truth!
Then Caleb makes a plan and tells his wife, Ruby, to leave the village. They both prepare to flee. Cain makes arrangements for them in Ireland but Ruby gets anxious and leaves quietly while Caleb is asleep. When he wakes up he learns Ruby has gone to the police station to accept her blame. She tells the police what Anthony did to her. She further adds that Caleb was not involved in this and she is the killer. Then a solicitor arrives and stops the interview.
Meanwhile, Caleb reveals the note to Chas. She fears everyone will be behind bars. However, Caleb assures that everything will be alright as he has his solicitor on the case, who he sent to stop Ruby before she accidentally incriminates all of them. Then the police visit them.
