In the upcoming episodes, Sarah goes to receive her biopsy results and learns that she has early stages of cervical cancer. She feels sad, but the consultant informs her that she can still have a baby. Sarah confides in Jacob and tells him the truth. He calls her selfish for wanting a child despite the health issues.
Katie Hill, who plays Sarah, opened up on the upcoming plot. She opened up about the reason for having a baby. Sarah has Fanconi Anaemia, which reduces her lifespan. So, she wants to be a mother for 20 years.
The actor added that Sarah has been ignoring the advice of the doctors and focusing on the other people who managed to have the baby with similar conditions. She added that Sarah doesn’t want to bother anyone, and that is the reason she went alone to collect the biopsy results. Sarah needs someone to talk to, but she thinks she is strong enough to handle everything.
The actor said Sarah had dealt with the disease while growing up and is quite positive, so she is just focusing on her baby. Katie said that if Sarah tells Vanessa, she will tell that to Charity. However, she discloses it to Jacob, who calls her selfish for having a baby.

The actor also revealed that the viewers will be left divided as to whether she should have a baby. Katie said Jacob’s negative reaction left Sarah reeling. She shared that people with Sarah’s condition are likely to get cancer throughout their lives. However, Sarah is resilient.
The actor hinted that Sarah and Jacob could be in a relationship again if they communicate better. Furthermore, Katie liked Sarah and Kammy’s relationship as he added fun to her life. It seemed like Sarah’s inner personality was coming out.
The Emmerdale actor added that if Sarah has a baby, she would try to give it the best life. Furthermore, Sarah knows how a lonely child feels, as her mother and father have never been there for her.
