Harry Wants To Be A Better Father Than King Charles!
Prince Harry is in Australia with his wife, Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex visited the Whitten Oval in Melbourne, the training and administrative headquarters of the Australian rules football club Western Bulldogs. He met the supporters of the men’s mental health. The Duke of Sussex spoke about his experience of being a father to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
He opened up about the evolving roles of parents. Prince Harry said that each generation needed to be an upgrade. He wants to be better than his parents, King Charles and Diana. However, he said that he was blaming them. He added that even with a perfect upbringing, he would still want to improve on this with their children.
Prince Harry said that he had seen parenting evolve. Their kids are their upgrade. He said that the kids in today’s world need to be upgraded. He said that there is no complaint. There is a personal experience that one wants to improve. Furthermore, there was no social media 40 years ago, so the conversation varies.
Prince Harry Redefines Fatherhood!
Furthermore, Prince Harry also discussed his experience of therapy before his children were born. The Duke of Sussex revealed that he wants to be the best version for his kids. He knew that he had stuff from the past that he needed to deal with.
Meanwhile, Harry said that there was a disconnection in the early days of fatherhood as his wife was creating life while he was just witnessing it. Harry said that guys think that their role is over, so what they should do now is. But his therapist said that one should be aware of how they feel once the baby is born.
Prince Harry said that Fatherhood is the most transformational phase, and he is fortunate to be able to work from home. He gave a talk in the function room of the stadium. He said that during COVID, working from home was not great as he had kids running around. Then he went to the football pitch and had a kickabout with the children.
During the second day of the trip, he went to Canberra and took part in an Aboriginal Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial. Thus, the couple is enjoying their time in Australia.
