Sean Freeman, who plays Andre Richardson in the soap, recently opened up about his career. He took to social media and expressed his gratitude for the journey. Beyond The Gates actor Sean Freeman shared a picture of himself and shared his struggle in the caption. Not everything has been easy for the soap actor. He shared a story for his soap fans.
Sean Freeman mentioned in the caption that he got his first talent agent in 2020 during COVID. He added that some might say that he was late in his acting career as he was already in his 30s. However, he got his first co-star role a year later, and a year after that, he booked his first recurring role. Meanwhile, in between, he worked in various commercials and theatre projects. Elsewhere, in 2024, he bagged the big opportunity by landing his 1st series regular role in Beyond The Gates on CBS.
Sean’s Journey Wasn’t Easy!
The actor added that to some, this might not be a big thing, whereas for some, this might be a big accomplishment in just five years. Everyone is on a different timeline. Sean shared that nothing was overnight. There were six years of faith, confusion and hard work. He revealed that eleven years ago, he decided to pursue a career as a professional actor after completing his degree. However, at that time, he didn’t know anything about the TV industry.
Though he didn’t have the resources, he still went for it. He moved to New York City with determination. The journey wasn’t smooth. He has learned and grown so much during it. Though the actor had to face many challenges, the journey has been transformative, and he is grateful for it.
