Kat’s Condo Surprise Upsets Tomas
Beyond the Gates spoilers for Wednesday, July 8, reveal that Tomas Navarro will not be happy when he learns Kat Richardson has bought a condo for them without speaking to him first.
Kat previously turned down moving in with Tomas and also refused his marriage proposal, so he may feel she is now trying to make up for those choices by making another major decision alone.
His ego has already taken a hit, and the condo surprise could leave him feeling as if Kat is simply trying to placate him. Tomas has been struggling to balance his impulses with Kat’s Type A personality, and he may not know how to react. Kat could assume he is still angry about her refusal to marry him, adding another problem to their chaotic relationship.
The pair often fail to open up until after they hurt each other. Kat sees buying a condo as a way to fix things, but Tomas still has his own place and lease. He may resent her taking control of such a major decision, especially since Kat likely would not accept him doing the same to her.
Jacob And Naomi Make Up For Lost Time
Romance will be in the air as Jacob Hawthorne and Naomi Hawthorne finally get time together after spending so long apart.
Their reunion has been a long time coming, and they will try to make up for everything they have missed. However, some of the distance between them cannot simply disappear in bed, and their private worries could soon return.
Like their previous reunions, things may go well before another problem pulls them apart. Jacob could get lost in his thoughts about Derek Baldwin.
Whereas, Naomi continues to feel guilty because she has not told him she has the gene. Their worries may cause things to spiral again. Both want to protect each other, but they still struggle to communicate after all these years.
Monica Cuts Ties With Leslie’s Clinic
Garland Memorial’s new chief of staff, Monica McCormick, will make a major decision now that the blood plasma ring is in the past for the moment. Monica plans to sever the hospital’s ties with Leslie Thomas’ free clinic, even though the arrangement benefited the DMV and helped keep costs down.
Monica may blame Leslie for the plasma ring scandal despite the former chief of staff being responsible. Another possible reason is more personal, as Monica may simply want Leslie out of her life. Leslie’s past attempts to make Shanice Johnson’s life miserable could also play a part.
Leslie will be surprised by the announcement, and the decision could start a war between the two women. She does not like being told no, especially now that she has a trust fund the size of half the world. In an unexpected twist, Monica’s choice could even lead Leslie’s victims.
