There’s no slowing down in Fairmont Crest. Just when everyone thought the dust was finally settling following the previous round of secrets, this week guarantees a newstorm of drama. With payback in the air, secrets coming to light, and one family on the verge of its greatest internal upheaval yet, Beyond the Gates is going all out for May sweeps.
Kat’s Rage, Ted’s Flip & Leslie’s New Plot
Following last Friday’s cliffhanger, this week gets underway with repercussions for Kat Richardson seeing her arch-nemesis Eva Thomas having a moment of intimacy with Tomas “Tom” Navarro. The Monday episode can be expected to involve a charged confrontation between the two women—and with Kat having a long memory, that’s only the start.
Kat can also give Tom an ultimatum—cut Eva off, or lose Kat. It’s uncertain if Tom will buckle under Kat’s pressure or defend his new connection with Eva. Either way, the battle lines are drawn, and Kat appears to be willing to make Eva pay. She’s likely to put a revenge plan into action, with Leslie Thomas possibly joining forces for mutual gain.
Leslie wastes no time. In the coming episodes, she’ll make the suggestion to Kat that Eva was the one behind Laura Peterson’s car accident. Kat takes the bait, and Leslie’s smile indicates that she’s just getting started to spin her falsehoods. Of course, fans are aware Leslie was driving, but if she invents evidence, Eva’s world can unravel quickly.
Meanwhile, Eva attempts to find some solace by strengthening her relationship with Ted Richardson. The only silver lining of her chaotic family saga is this new relationship. But her efforts to also make amends with Leslie will come back to haunt her, big time. Leslie explodes, accusing Eva of dumping her for Ted and ejecting her emotionally and physically. The rejection hurts Eva badly.
New Ted, Big Decisions: Beyond the Gates
As all this unfolds, viewers will see a big transition midweek—literally. Ted Richardson, originally played by Maurice Johnson, will pass the baton to Keith D. Robinson starting Thursday, May 15. It just so happens that this episode also marks Eva’s birthday, so expect a heartfelt (and possibly tear-stained) celebration as Ted and Eva continue healing old wounds.
Somewhere else in Fairmont Crest, Nicole Richardson is confronted with a life-altering choice. Ted’s betrayal continues to burden her, and she might just hit her limit. Will she finally divorce him—or even leave town? Either would rock the Dupree and Richardson families.
The week’s most heavily hyped storyline is the long-delayed unveiling of Martin Richardson’s chilling secret.
The audience has been waiting since the series premiere to know what abuse he’s been living with—and why his grandparents were so willing to be blackmailed by Bill. This week, Martin begins to put the pieces together. The question now is whether he’ll keep it under wraps or finally come clean.
Dani and Andre Push Limits in Beyond the Gates
On the lighter (but just as juicy) side, Dani Dupree and Pamela Curtis dive into their new modeling agency venture. But Dani’s personal life isn’t staying in the background. Her steamy affair with Andre Richardson heats up even more this week, with the two tangled up in bed again. But someone’s watching…
Nicole, always the watching-out sister, starts interrogating Dani about what’s really going on between Dani and Andre. Suspicion brewing, Dani may not be able to keep her secret much longer. The stakes? High. Particularly because Andre is Nicole’s nephew by marriage.
Meanwhile, Derek Baldwin and Ashley Morgan’s life becomes complicated. What was meant to be a new beginning could become the start of their destruction. Can they withstand the stress—or are they on their way to a split?
And lastly, Doug McBride is cornered. Either his gambling habit or his debts finally catch up with him, and he is out of ideas. Joey Armstrong sits in the background, waiting to take advantage of Doug’s vulnerabilities to get to his true target: Vanessa McBride. With Joey focusing on using Vanessa’s real estate company for money laundering, Doug’s desperation may just work to his advantage.
