In a recent chat with Charlie Mason from Soaps.com, Trisha Mann-Grant opened up about her first season and all the “craziness” Leslie has brought to the story. And honestly, she did not hold back when it came to defending her character.
One of the biggest talking points was Leslie hiding Eva Thomas’ real father for her entire life. Eva, played by Ambyr Michelle, grew up without knowing the truth about Ted Richardson. It is one of the most shocking storylines so far, but Mann-Grant still believes fans should not rush to judge. She clearly said that Leslie is also a victim.
That is where things get interesting. Mann-Grant explained that she does not fully see Leslie as a narcissist. According to her, narcissists usually avoid blame and think everyone else is the problem. Leslie, on the other hand, feels more layered and emotionally complicated.

Mann-Grant shared that Leslie’s behavior may come from something deeper. She believes Leslie avoids facing the truth about herself. Deep down, she might understand her actions, but she refuses to admit it. She even said that if Leslie ever truly faced reality, it would hit her hard and force her to see how wrong she has been in many situations.
And those choices have been wild. Since the show started, Leslie has been behind some major drama. She kept Eva’s paternity from Ted Richardson. She went after Laura Peterson, played by Destiny Love, and even tried to kill her more than once. On top of that, she pushed her daughter into the Richardson family and tried to destroy Ted’s marriage.
