During Vanity Fair’s lie detector series, Chris was asked whether he was envious of his younger brother as Liam grabbed a sensational role in the 2010 movie opposite Miley Cyrus. The 40-year-old laughed and denied the envious claims. But he did say it could be a butterfly effect if Liam wouldn’t be a part of the movie, hinting at how the movie had changed Cyrus and Liam’s life.
But surprisingly, Chris’s statement created confusion, as the polygraph examiner noted that the result read “inconclusive” instead of “true,” hinting that Chris might have wanted to star opposite Miley Cyrus in the 2010 movie. When the same question was asked to the Marvel actor, he denied such claims.
Again, his result was “inconclusive.” It later churned words that perhaps Chris didn’t want Liam Hemsworth to star opposite his ex-wife. However, the movie played a crucial role in paving the way for Liam and Miley Cyrus’ love story. As per the reports, the couple started dating in 2009 when the filming began.
