But what if we tell you Miley Cyrus recently spilled the beans on the future of Hannah Montana, suggesting a completely changed Hannah with a new look?
Well, it’s not the first time Miley has talked about returning to Disney. However, this time, things are quite different. In August 2020, Miley, the singer behind the iconic character, sat down with Carolina With Greg T In The Morning to discuss her desire to return as Hannah Montana.
The Flowers singer said, “Honestly, I try to put that wig on.” She also revealed that she still had that wig in her closet and was expecting a perfect time to put it back on. However, Miley Cyrus believed an opportunity would pop up, and when it happened, she would resurrect her role.
While Miley seems happy to bring back Hannah Montana to life, she also emphasizes that the blonde pop star needs a big makeover. That’s because Miley believes her character is still stuck in 2008. So, Hannah needs to change a bit to start a new life in the present. But it doesn’t feel like Hannah is stuck in the past.
If you remember, Hannah Montana made her bang-on social media appearance in March 2021. Suddenly, her account popped up on Instagram and Twitter, with her bio reading, “Your favorite teen pop sensation since 2006.” It later turned out that the show was celebrating its 15th anniversary. In a lovely social media post, Miley thanked her character, Hannah.
In a heartfelt note, she said since she first stepped into the role, she didn’t know that her character, Hannah Montana, would live forever in her heart and the hearts of millions of people. Miley Cyrus further added that although Hannah was her ‘alter ego,’ there was a time when she held more of Miley’s identity.
While it left fans believing that Hannah Montana might return sometime in the future, fans remained stunned after her social media account vanished out of thin air. Many even asked Miley Cyrus about the same, but it remained a mystery, leaving fans to wonder whether Miley would return as Hannah Montana.
Although things are quite unclear now, Miley has been spilling beans on her Disney return. She has been making funny videos with Lil Nas X, pretending to be Lilly Truscott, where Lil Nas X acted as Hannah Montana. Though it was comic scenes where Lilly learned about Hannah’s identity, fans believed their favorite character might return someday.
