A Trip Down Memory Lane
Clair Norris shared some nostalgic photos comparing her first day of filming with her very last. In fact, the actress admits that she felt nervous when she first joined the cast. One cannot forget that Bernie Taylor was known for her ‘signature’ look, including a frequently worn purple coat.
Clair captioned her post by saying, “This time last year….my last day filming EastEnders Vs my first day. It’s been a year today since I filmed my last scene as Bernie and hung up her purple coat. Where has that time gone?! I still remember my first day very clearly. I was obviously nervous, excited, my brain questioning, “Is this even real?”, and a lot of self-doubt…had they picked the right girl?”
Adding further the actress mentioned, “However, I still remember with so much confidence and belief in myself, and that’s what this job gave me in abundance. I am still forever grateful for having eight years on Enders. I learnt from the very best and it has given me a platform to keep inspiring & be inspired. A trip down memory lane and what a whirlwind memory to have.”
Lorraine Stanley, who played Keanu Taylor commented, “So many good memories made with you. Bernie is such a wonderful character & I’m glad I got to play your Mum. We really did have the best time! And laughed so much. Big hugs Xxxx Mummy T.” Elsewhere, Jaden Ladega, who plays Denzel, said, “Missing you, Clair! Keep killing it.” Meanwhile, a fan shared, “You were one of my favourite characters in EastEnders and the rest of the Taylor family, I wish that the show brings characters like you back, Tiffany and Keanu and stuff, you smashed it, girl!!!”
Clair Norris Final Stint In EastEnders
Clair played Bernie Taylor on the BBC soap. Bernie was the last remaining member on the Square. In her last storyline, viewers learnt that Berne was stealing from the Panesar family after she had control of their accounts following Nish Panesar’s death.
Elsewhere, Suki and Ravi had exposed her as the thief. However, Bernie justified her action, saying she was owed the money. Later, she and her cousin Felix Baker fled Walford together.
