Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton, shared stunning beach snaps. The ITV actress looked radiant as she posed against a gorgeous holiday sunset. Although her exact location is still unknown, the breathtaking scenery is far away. Along with the pictures, she captioned, “Ocean Lover.”
Her Corrie co-stars reacted with admiration. Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Windass, described the post as ‘Beauty,’ while Liam McCheyne, who portrays Dylan Wilson, called it ‘Gorgeous.’ Meanwhile, her soap character Lauren has been through a lot lately.
While Lauren was thought to have died after being attacked by Joel, it was revealed that she had actually been living on the streets. The show recently explored more about Lauren and Joel’s awful relationship. It turned out that Joel would give Lauren money for food but expected sex in return.
However, when Lauren tried to stand up to him, Joel viciously attacked her with a chair leg. When asked about her current storyline, Cait shared that trauma is something people often try to push away and distract themselves from, but it never truly disappears.
She explained that Lauren is trying to move on too quickly, but, like with grief, it’s something that takes time and can’t be rushed. The actress added, “Since she’s left Weatherfield she’s been running from hostel to hostel, sleeping homeless, not been able to pay the rent, booted out of different hostels.”
