Megan Walsh Is Caught Before She Can Leave
Megan Walsh looks set to face justice after Will Driscoll reported her to the police. This big update comes after series producer Kate Brooks recently said that the story still had a “bit of a journey to go,” but also confirmed that Megan would not get away with what she had done.
Brooks said, “It’s about the family falling apart, but then kind of building themselves back up again as they try desperately to kind of repair the damage that Megan’s done.” Megan’s actions would leave a deep impact on Will and his family.
Before the police caught her, Megan had planned to run away to France with Will. Will had stolen £2,000 from the Rovers Return safe and told his family that he wanted to move to Glasgow to be closer to his mother. But the truth was different. He was planning to leave the country with Megan and start a new life with her.
Tim Helps Expose Megan’s Plan in Coronation Street
Megan’s plan started to fall apart when Will’s train was cancelled. Taxi driver Tim Metcalfe became suspicious when Will still insisted on going to Manchester Piccadilly. At first, Tim did not know that Will planned to take another cab to the airport.
During the journey, Tim spoke about his own childhood abuse by shopkeeper Trisha. He said that, at the time, he thought his school mates respected him because he was sleeping with an older woman. Later, he realised that what happened to him was wrong.
Tim’s story helped Will tell the truth about Megan. Will admitted that he had a sexual relationship with Megan. He also said that they were expecting a baby and wanted to start a new life together. But Will was upset when he realised Tim had taken him to the police station.
Tim asked Will to think about how his disappearance would affect his family. He also asked whether Megan would really leave without him. After that, Will went into the police station and spoke to the police, which became the turning point in Megan’s story.
Megan Is Charged After Denying Everything
In the latest episode, police caught Megan while she was trying to leave the country. They took her in for questioning by DS Lisa Connor-Swain. Megan stayed firm and said the interview was a waste of police time and also a waste of her own time.
Lisa said they needed to find out whether Megan was responsible and whether she had really acted professionally during her career. Megan denied everything and said it was all an illusion in the Driscoll family’s minds. But she was shocked when Lisa told her that Will had made the complaint against her.
At the same time, Will still felt unsure about what he had done. He told his dad Ben that Megan would hate him for reporting her. He still believed that they were in love and thought they could have had a happy life together.
Ben then told Will that Megan had already reached the airport and was planning to leave when the police arrested her. This helped Will see that Megan had not been honest about their future.
