Another week brings more confusion for fans of Coronation Street and Emmerdale, as the schedule changes yet again. Just when viewers start getting used to one routine, ITV switches things up. At the same time, both soaps are building major storylines, so missing an episode is the last thing fans want right now.

Here’s When You Can Watch The Soaps This Week

ITV has made several changes to the soap schedule in 2026. The “power hour” introduced earlier this year has already caused regular adjustments, and sports coverage has added even more changes.

Things stay normal at the start of the week. Monday to Thursday, Emmerdale airs at 8:00 PM. Coronation Street follows at 8:30 PM, each episode running for 30 minutes. Episodes are also available on ITVX and YouTube.

Friday looks different though. ITV will not air either soap that day. The finale of I’m a Celebrity…South Africa will take over the evening slot starting at 7:30 PM.

Things Are Getting Messy In Coronation Street

The week has already been full of tension in Weatherfield, especially for the Driscoll family. They recently learned that the CPS will not charge Megan Walsh for abusing Will Driscoll. This decision has left them upset and looking for another way to deal with the situation.

CS/ Maggie pushes Eva to kill Megan

Maggie pushes Eva Price to act before things get worse. She believes Ben could make a dangerous move if Megan is not stopped. Soon after, Eva teams up alongside Leanne and Toyah Battersby. They find Will’s burner phone and use it to set up a meeting with Megan. That plan could easily backfire.

Another situation is unfolding between Ronnie Bailey and Carl Webster. Ronnie steps in after seeing how Carl treats Debbie Webster and attacks him. Carl ends up in hospital. Debbie stands firm and calls him “unlovable.” Carl reacts in a way that could create serious problems for Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding later in the week.

Emmerdale Is Facing Some Big Moments Too

Over in Emmerdale, the drama is just as intense. Charity Dingle goes into labour while stuck in a broken lift. Ross Barton and Mackenzie Boyd stay with her and try to help her through the situation.

Dr. Caitlin Todd is the only doctor available. At the same time, Jacob Gallagher has already reported her for bullying. That makes things more complicated and raises questions about how she will handle the surgery.

Other storylines are also moving forward. Dylan Penders makes plans so April Windsor will not feel stuck waiting for him if he ends up in prison. His actions suggest a goodbye could be coming. Moira Dingle is also finding it hard to adjust to life without Butler’s Farm.

The week will end on a major note. A body will be discovered in Weatherfield, starting a big storyline that will reveal which villain has died. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
