By Roy

Carla Connor is about to make a decision that could change Weatherfield forever. In upcoming Coronation Street scenes, the Underworld boss opens up to her fiancée Lisa Swain about the uncertain future of the Rovers Return the pub that’s stood at the heart of the community for generations. But as Carla finally reveals what she’s done, her confession leaves Lisa, and viewers, completely stunned.

Carla’s Growing Struggle With the Rovers

The Rovers have been through chaos in recent years. After Jenny Bradley’s emotional exit and Glenda Shuttleworth’s short-lived stint behind the bar, Carla stepped in to take charge of the pub, determined to keep the doors open and the pints flowing. But running the Rovers while managing her Underworld business has taken a toll.

CS/ Carla has been unable to manage Rovers

Viewers have watched Carla wrestle with the burden of responsibility, torn between her loyalty to Weatherfield’s most iconic landmark and her own growing exhaustion. Despite her best efforts, the pressure of keeping the pub alive has become too much to bear. Recently, her conversations with Lisa have revealed that she’s been quietly questioning whether she’s the right person to keep the Rovers going.

Coronation Street: Carla Sells the Rovers

Next week, Carla finally admits what she’s been hiding, she’s sold the Rovers Return. In an emotional conversation, she confides in Lisa about her decision and reveals that a new owner is set to take over. Carla tells Lisa that the buyer is a man named Ben, though she keeps the rest of the details close to her chest. Still, the mystery around Ben’s identity immediately raises questions. Who is this man, and what does he plan to do with the Rovers?

CS/ Eva is coming back with Ben and Pauline

Producer Kate Brooks shared her excitement, saying the team is “beyond thrilled” to see Eva return as the new landlady. She teased that the Driscolls “do not arrive quietly”. And that viewers should brace themselves for “big drama, explosive secrets, and raucous knees-ups.”

Now that Carla is officially out, Weatherfield’s favourite pub is entering a brand-new era. As we already know, Ben won’t be arriving alone. The sale of the Rovers paves the way for the dramatic return of Eva Price, played by Catherine Tyldesley. Eva will make her comeback alongside her partner Ben Driscoll and his meddling mother Maggie.
