Cassie Plummer has already been left shaken by the return of Ross Wilkes in Coronation Street, but things are about to take another worrying turn.
While Tyrone Dobbs starts building a relationship with the father he never knew, Cassie takes a risky step to expose Ross’s past. However, her plan could have dangerous consequences if Ross discovers what she has done. Scroll down for more.
Cassie Tries To Expose Ross’s Dark Past
Ross Wilkes first crossed paths with Cassie Plummer recently, although she did not recognize him at the time. Feeling low because of problems in her relationship, Cassie got drunk with Ross and enjoyed talking to him, seeing the conversation as a welcome distraction.
Everything changed when Ross left the pub. Cassie checked his bar tab and realized she had spent the evening with Tyrone Dobbs’ biological father. During their brief encounter, Ross also revealed his true nature by speaking harshly to Cassie after she had drunk a considerable amount of alcohol.
Ross then arrived at the Bistro after Hope Stape and Ruby Dobbs tracked him down through DNA testing. Since then, Cassie has struggled to be anywhere near Ross.
It’s because he reminds her of one of the darkest chapters of her life.
Coronation Street: Cassie Takes A Risk To Protect Tyrone
Years ago, when Cassie was still in her early teens, she became involved with the wrong people and was forced to sleep with men for money. Ross was one of those men, and their encounter resulted in Cassie becoming pregnant with Tyrone.
After Tyrone was born, Evelyn made the heartbreaking decision to leave the baby on the doorstep of a police station. Tyrone was later adopted by Jackie and Darren. In fact, it gives him a new family while Cassie carried the trauma of what had happened.
In upcoming scenes, Cassie decides to warn others about Ross. She uploads his photo to an app where people can post reviews about former partners. She tells Steve that she hopes women who have had bad experiences with Ross will come forward with horror stories.
Steve urges her to delete the post, but it remains to be seen whether Cassie will listen. If Ross finds out what she has done, she could be putting herself in serious danger. Especially with Claire Sweeney’s departure from the soap approaching, it’s possible. Although Cassie has every reason to fear Ross, Tyrone initially sees things very differently.
