Joe Osborne Returns With A New Coronation Street Role
Joe Osborne is returning to Coronation Street, but fans will not see him as one of his old characters. Instead, he is joining the soap as a completely new character who will become part of Christina Boyd’s storyline.
Many viewers will remember Osborne from 2023, when he played businessman Jason Waterford. At the time, Jason tried to buy The Rovers from then landlady Jenny Connor. He also became involved in an insider trading storyline with Ronnie Bailey.
That was not Osborne’s first appearance in Weatherfield. He also played Rod Kempson back in 2017. Now, the actor, who has also appeared in Peaky Blinders and Hollyoaks, is making his third visit to the soap. This time, he will play a man named Lenny.
Christina’s Secret Starts To Come Out
According to The Sun, Lenny is Christina’s estranged husband. The report says that Christina has been secretly meeting him for the past few months without telling George.
George only begins to learn the truth because of his sister, Glenda. She becomes worried about Christina and her relationship with George. As a result, she decides to look into the situation. While going through Christina’s handbag, Glenda reportedly finds a clue that changes everything.
After Glenda finds the clue, George follows Christina to the precinct. There, he sees her meeting another man. He immediately confronts her and asks her to explain what is happening. Instead of hiding the truth, Christina admits that she has been keeping secrets from him.
