As we all know, Catherine Tyldesley’s latest TV chapter is coming to an emotional end. And, she has not given fans enough time to process it. After making her much-anticipated return in Coronation Street, the actress is now ready to say bye-bye to TV from another fan-favourite role. Now, it has left viewers wondering how her exit will happen and what it means for the future of the show she’s leaving behind.
Catherine Tyldesley Exits The Good Ship Murder
The Coronation Street actress, Catherine Tyldesley is officially saying goodbye to Channel 5’s The Good Ship Murder, where she plays First Officer Kate Woods. The actress will depart during the fourth season, which will leave Shayne Ward’s Jack Grayling to tackle mysteries solo.
The show has even developed quite a good fanbase; thanks to its light-hearted tone, glamorous locations, and the slow-burning tension between its two leads.
The lingering “will-they-won’t-they” dynamic has kept fans hooked. And now that Tyldesley is exiting, fans will surely be heartbroken.
However, Coronation Street fans can chill a bit because Tyldesley will stay put in Coronation Street and has no plans to exit anytime soon. In the cobbles, she started as a newbie, young barmaid. But now, after a gap, she has come back with a new family and obviously, it’s fair share of drama.
Tyldesley’s Epic Storyline In Coronation Street
Tyldesley originally exited Coronation Street in 2017, but she made a dramatic return last year as Eva Price. This time, Eva arrived with her partner Ben Driscoll, their kids, and her difficult mother-in-law Maggie Driscoll. Each of them has their own fair share of drama so the viewers have no short of spice.
But right now, the Driscoll family has one-of-its kind drama on it’s plate. Eva and Ben’s son, Will Driscoll is now the centre of attention as he’s being groomed by his coach, Megan.
While it has remained a secret for the longest time, Will is on the edge right now. Now that almost the whole family has a clear idea of the evil role Megan has played, Eva and Maggie might be seen joining hands and taking revenge. We already know the lengths Maggie can go to save her grandson. So, it won’t be totally unexpected. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
