Summer had been accused of killing Theo and was sent to prison while the investigation continued. However, the case against her collapsed after Tyrone Dobbs finally came forward and supported her account of what happened. His statement backed up Summer’s version of events and helped prove that she was not responsible for Theo’s death.
As a result, Summer is released from prison and makes an emotional return to the cobbles. She receives support from Todd Grimshaw, who is determined to help her settle back into normal life after everything she has been through.
