Lisa and Carla tied the knot earlier this year, but their happy family life will soon be shaken by a frightening emergency. In upcoming scenes, Betsy collapses at the family home and is quickly taken to hospital. For now, the soap has not revealed exactly what causes her collapse.
A new promotional video shows Betsy being driven away from No. 6. Carla then arrives at the hospital looking worried, while Lisa stays by her daughter’s bedside. As the family waits for answers, Betsy learns that she has a “life-changing diagnosis”. However, the exact details of her condition are still being kept secret.
Lisa soon starts asking questions about what happened. As a police officer, she becomes determined to find out the truth. According to a press release, Lisa “demands answers” and lets “accusations fly” as her fear for Betsy grows.
Coronation Street: Lisa Starts To Suspect Dylan As Fear Takes Over
The story becomes even more serious when Lisa begins to suspect Betsy’s boyfriend, Dylan Wilson. A Weatherfield insider explained just how scared Lisa becomes as she waits for news about her daughter. “Betsy’s life is on the line, and Lisa is absolutely terrified that she’s going to lose her precious girl,” the insider said. “Emotions are already running high at the hospital as Lisa and Carla wait for news.
“But there’s a massive twist when Lisa has reason to believe that Dylan is responsible for what Betsy is going through, and [she] sees red,” they continued. Dylan is said to be in “total shock” when he learns about the accusations against him.
Betsy tries to stop Lisa and begs her not to blame Dylan. However, Lisa refuses to let the matter go. “Things turn very nasty very fast, and even when Betsy begs Lisa not to blame Dylan, she won’t let it go,” the insider added. “In fact, she’s not only blaming Dylan but is also determined to get justice – and reports him to the police.”
