Coronation Street: Megan’s Exit Is Finally Confirmed
Megan and Will were secretly involved. While Will believed Megan cared about him, she was actually abusing and manipulating him while making sure he stayed silent.
The storyline became even more emotional as Will continued to protect Megan because he did not realise he was being abused. Sam Blakeman was the first person to suspect something was wrong.
He believed Megan had groomed Will, but nobody listened at first. Even so, Sam refused to give up and kept trying to expose the truth. Sam’s determination came with serious consequences.
Megan repeatedly targeted him and slowly damaged his confidence. Eventually, Sam collapsed and was taken to hospital. After that frightening moment, he finally told Leanne Battersby everything he knew about Megan.
Beth Nixon Bows Out As Megan Is Sent To Prison
Although Megan was arrested, the investigation struggled because there was not enough evidence. Later, Will’s conversation with Tim Metcalfe, who had gone through a similar experience when he was younger, helped him understand what had happened. As a result, Will decided to report Megan and the case finally moved forward.
This week, Megan stood trial, but the outcome almost changed. Will shocked everyone by claiming he had lied about having a sexual relationship with Megan. At the same time, his father Ben Driscoll lost his temper during the hearing and was removed from the courtroom. For a moment, it looked as though Megan might walk free.
Thankfully, the judge gave Will another chance to speak. Even though he admitted he had lied under oath earlier, he chose to tell the truth this time. He confirmed that Megan had abused him, giving the jury the evidence they needed to reach a decision.
The prison sentence brings Megan Walsh’s story to a close and confirms Beth Nixon’s exit from Coronation Street for good. After everything they have been through, Will, Sam, and the Driscoll family can finally begin to move on.
