Sarah Tells Kit What Really Happened
The latest Coronation Street episode sees Sarah Platt confess to her boyfriend Kit Green that she killed Theo Silverton.
A flashback shown a few weeks ago revealed what happened before Theo died. Sarah and Theo had a heated confrontation. During the fight, Sarah hit Theo with a metal pipe. He then fell over some scaffolding and landed on the ground.
After everything happened, Sarah did not call Kit for help even though he is a police officer. Instead, she called her ex, Gary Windass. Gary helped her hide the truth.
As the police investigation continued, Sarah and Gary’s suspicious behaviour even made Maria Connor believe they were secretly having an affair.
Coronation Street: A Happy Proposal Turns Into A Shocking Confession
Sarah had been finding it harder and harder to live with the secret. Fans will remember how badly she struggled after Callum Logan’s murder in 2016. Keeping such a big lie inside was never something she could do for long.
Earlier in the episode, Gary reminded Sarah that he had also taken a huge risk by helping her cover up Theo’s death. Still, Sarah could not stop worrying. When she returned home, she found Kit had arranged a lunch date. He spoke about their future together and then surprised her by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him.
Instead of saying yes, Sarah broke down and admitted that she had killed Theo. She told Kit exactly what happened during Theo’s final moments and explained why she had kept the truth hidden for so long. Kit was shocked by Sarah’s confession, but something else hurt him even more. He could not accept that Sarah had called Gary for help instead of turning to him.
Kit picked up his keys and walked out, leaving Sarah scared about what he might do next. Fans know Kit has broken the rules before to protect the people he cares about. Now, there is a real chance that his anger could be directed at Gary. If that happens, Gary could end up going to prison for a crime Sarah has now admitted she committed.
