Coronation Street viewers will see Megan Walsh make one final attempt to avoid prison next week. With her court trial getting closer, Megan knows time is running out. She believes that convincing Will Driscoll not to testify could be her last chance to escape punishment.
However, after everything that has happened between them, Will may no longer be willing to listen. Scroll down for more information.
Megan Tries To Change Will’s Mind
Megan’s problems began when Will reported her to the police for grooming him. Since then, she has been facing the possibility of a court case that could send her to prison. Even so, Megan still hopes she can find a way out.
In upcoming scenes, Megan persuades Will to meet her in a quiet car park where nobody else can see them. The pair have already been speaking through Will’s gaming headset, but Megan feels she needs to see him in person if she wants to change his mind.
During the meeting, Megan makes an emotional plea. She tells Will: “No matter what anyone says to you, or what you hear about me, I just need you to remember one thing.”
She then says: “I loved you. And I know now that that was wrong. But it doesn’t mean it wasn’t the truth. And I’m not saying that we can be together, because we can’t. But please don’t let this be how it ends. Don’t let me go to prison.”
Coronation Street: Will Stands Up To Megan
This time, Will does not seem convinced by Megan’s words. Instead of feeling sorry for her, he challenges what she is saying and refuses to accept her version of events.
Will accuses Megan of lying and reminds her about her past actions. His reaction suggests that he has finally started to break free from the hold she once had over him.
Even so, the story is not over yet. Megan still has time before the trial begins, and it remains to be seen whether she will try another way to stop Will from speaking in court. More drama is on the way when Megan’s mother, Janine, arrives in Weatherfield. She quickly visits the Driscoll family and causes fresh tension as everyone struggles to deal with the situation.
Speaking about the storyline, Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price, told TV Times: “When Janine reveals who she is, it’s like a red rag to a bull for Ben.” Tyldesley also explained Janine’s point of view. She said: “Janine tries to apologise on behalf of Megan; she is bewildered as to why this happened. But, sometimes, people grow up in normal, loving families and things go extremely wrong. That’s what Eva sees.” Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers and behind-the-scenes updates.
