Craig Tinker enters the week with optimism, starting his new CID placement with high expectations of impressing. But his mentor, Kit Green, obviously has other priorities on his mind, and none of them are training Craig. With Kit busy focusing on his own domestic issues, Craig’s left feeling underappreciated and keen to show his worth.
When a report of a disturbance comes in, Craig grabs the chance. He goes off on his own to resolve it, determined to show that he can do the job. But it soon isn’t long before things take a terrible turn.
A Shocking Discovery in Coronation Street
It’s Maria Connor who discovers him bloodied, bruised and unconscious. Panic soon erupts in Weatherfield as Craig is rushed to intensive care, where Lisa Swain brings the devastating news: he has a serious head injury and there’s swelling on the brain.
For an instant, Asha has Craig back with her, trying to talk. Asha and Jess are by his side, urging him on to tell them what has occurred. But before he can tell them anything, his health turns for the worse—and the truth stays in the dark. Kirk Sutherland calls Beth with the shattering news, and the wave of sadness starts.
