While Will continued struggling after everything that happened with Megan Walsh, viewers noticed a detail that did not seem to make sense at all. Soon, fans rushed online to point out what they believe was a huge mistake in the episode.
Will Continues To Struggle After Megan’s Arrest
Fans of Coronation Street know that Will Driscoll has gone through a terrible time after being groomed by teacher Megan Walsh. Their relationship first started in Hull before they secretly continued seeing each other after Will moved to Weatherfield with his family.
Things became even more serious when Megan became pregnant with Will’s baby before later having an abortion. The truth finally came out after Sam Blakeman discovered what was happening. Megan threatened Sam and tried to stop him from speaking out, but Sam eventually told the truth. Will later went to the police, which led to Megan being arrested. She has now been released on bail.
Even after Megan’s arrest, Will has clearly been struggling emotionally. Earlier this week, viewers watched him climb up scaffolding while drinking an entire bottle of vodka. Asha Alahan spotted him and begged him to come down. She told him he was “proper messed up” and said he did not know if he would ever feel “normal” again.
Will’s grandmother Maggie eventually managed to calm him down and convince him to climb back down safely. Later, Megan approached Will in the ginnel and secretly slipped a piece of paper into his pocket. The paper contained Megan’s new phone number, and the episode ended with Will looking like he was thinking about calling her.
Fans Notice A Big School Uniform Mistake
While the storyline itself kept viewers emotional, many Coronation Street fans became distracted by Will’s clothes. Fans quickly noticed that Will was still wearing his school uniform this week even though it is currently half-term. At the same time, other children on the street, including Hope Dobbs played by Isabella Flanagan, were all wearing normal clothes because they were off school for the holidays.
It immediately confused viewers watching at home. One fan wrote on X: “Why is Will in a school uniform when all other kids are on holiday. It’s half term.” Another person joked: “Seems like they’re the only clothes he’s got,” while a third viewer commented: “The writers must have forgot.”
Some fans tried explaining the situation though. One viewer wrote: “Because he had an exam. Not sure if they stop for half term. Hope did ask him, and that was his answer. Sure he was well hungover on vodka,” but another fan replied: “Exams don’t occur during half term.”
