Carla just can’t shake the feeling that something about Becky doesn’t add up in Coronation Street. After trying to hold it in, she finally decides to talk it over with Kit. The question now is whether Kit will see things the same way or if Carla’s suspicions will leave her standing on her own.
Carla Snaps at Lunch
When Betsy happily announces that Becky will be joining them for lunch, Carla forces a smile. But the mood quickly sours when Becky reaches over to pinch food from Lisa’s plate. Carla’s face says it all, and she’s clearly not comfortable with the way Becky behaves. Becky tries to defend herself by saying she just wants some normality. That’s when Carla loses it.
Carla tells Becky it’s obvious what she really wants, and it’s certainly not a normal family meal. Calling both Becky and Lisa deluded, Carla storms out in anger. That moment shows just how close Carla is to the edge. She can’t keep pretending anymore, and it pushes her straight towards Kit for some answers.
Carla Opens Up to Kit; So Does Bethany
Still fuming, Carla heads over to the station and confides in Kit. She admits she doesn’t buy Becky’s story at all and reckons there’s more going on than Becky is letting on. She then asks Kit outright if he feels the same way, or if she’s completely on her own in this. Whether Kit backs her up or not could make all the difference to what she does next.
Just as Carla looks for answers, Kit finds himself dragged into another messy situation. He’s led into an interview room at the station and is surprised to see Bethany sitting there. She admits she quit her London job before she could be pushed out, then borrowed her boss’s car without asking and drove it all the way back to Manchester. Now she’s in hot water, accused of stealing it, and needs Kit’s help.
Later, Bethany comes clean to Sarah, saying she’s back in Weatherfield for good. That raises the question of how Daniel will take the news, but it also puts Kit right in the middle of two big storylines. On one side, Carla is pouring her heart out to him, and on the other, Bethany is relying on him to help her out of serious trouble.
