Jodie Ramsey has pushed her luck one too many times in Coronation Street, and next week her twisted games start to unravel. As the Platts rally around David and Shona during a terrifying hospital ordeal, a sharp-eyed youngster stumbles across something that could finally expose Jodie’s dark secret and this time, she might not be able to talk her way out of it.
Lily Stumbles On Jodie’s Dark Secret
From the moment Jodie arrived, it became obvious she carried a deep grudge against her sister Shona for leaving home as a teenage mum. Viewers initially assumed Jodie would focus solely on ruining Shona’s life.
Instead, she has targeted others too, almost as if she enjoys collecting moments of misery. Her recent clash with Bernie proved just how far she will go. After being told off for getting a café order wrong, Jodie retaliated by encouraging Mal to believe he and Bernie shared a romantic spark.
But she did not stop there. She secretly broke into Bernie’s house and cut her face out of her wedding photos. Jodie added the defaced picture to a hidden box she keeps under the stairs. Inside are other random items that resemble trophies.
Among them sits Brian’s stolen copy of The Woman in White. Brian had accused Hope of taking it, and even Ruby believed her sister could be guilty given Hope’s troubled past and love of chaos. But the real culprit was Jodie, who appeared to relish the upset she caused.
Jodie’s Lies Spiral At The Hospital
As Harper undergoes surgery, the Platts gather at the hospital to support David and Shona. When doctors reveal Harper has suffered a minor bleed, David loses his temper and orders everyone to leave. In the middle of the tension, Jodie hugs him and steps outside.
There, a new mum mistakes Jodie for Shona and assumes David is her husband. Jodie does not correct her. Instead, she allows the misunderstanding to continue. Later, when the same mum asks about Harper, Jodie speaks about “her daughter’s operation” as though she were the child’s mother.
Her confidence falters when she realises Shona stands right behind her. The actress who plays Shona said the moment definitely raised a red flag, but described Jodie as a skilled manipulator and quick liar. She explained that Shona feels emotionally drained and simply does not have the energy for more drama. Shona brushes it aside because she wants to trust her sister, even though it feels risky.
Back at home, Lily unknowingly steps into the centre of the storm. She discovers Jodie’s secret box hidden under the stairs and finds the cut-out photo of Bernie alongside Brian’s missing book. Unlike the adults, Lily does not dismiss what she sees. She confronts Jodie directly about the picture and the stolen novel.
