Idris Nazir has not even settled into life on the cobbles, but he is already causing a stir. The newcomer arrives with charm, confidence, and a bold attitude, yet his first big moment in Weatherfield quickly turns into chaos and puts him on the wrong side of Adam Barlow.

Idris Nazir Makes A Loud First Impression

Coronation Street is bringing a new face to Weatherfield, and he does not seem like someone who will stay quiet for long. Executive Producer Kate Brooks recently confirmed the arrival of Idris Nazir, played by Junade Khan. Idris is Alya Nazir’s cousin, so his arrival immediately links him to one of the Street’s familiar families.

But Idris is not just coming in as a simple family visitor. The show has already teased him as charming, smart, and ruthless when needed. He is also not afraid to get his hands dirty, which suggests that his arrival could bring more trouble than peace.

There is also plenty of drama waiting for him on the romantic side. Idris is set to have a connection with Leanne Battersby. There are also hints that he could possibly have something going on with Tracy Barlow.

Kate Brooks has made it clear that Idris will ruffle feathers from the start. She said, ‘He’s funny, he’s a handsome chap, and he ruffles a lot of feathers, but he’s not without an edge. He’s not soft, and he’s certainly no pushover. ‘

Trouble Breaks Out At Speed Daal

Idris causes chaos almost as soon as he arrives. On his first day on the cobbles, he reunites happily with Alya, but he also manages to make an enemy of someone very close to her. That person is Adam Barlow, who is Alya’s boyfriend and her employer at Barlow Legal Services.

The drama begins at Speed Daal, where Brody Michaelis works a temporary shift. A group of rowdy businessmen start causing trouble while Brody is working. Then things get worse when they drop a plate of curry over Brody’s trainers.

Leanne is not happy about the situation, but Idris suddenly steps in and takes control. He demands money for Brody’s trainers and throws the men out. His move may help Brody, but it also shows everyone that Idris is not afraid to create a scene when he thinks it is needed.

Alya reacts warmly and pulls Idris in for a hug. Leanne also recognises him from her past with her ex-boyfriend Kal Nazir, played by Jimi Mistry. So, within minutes, Idris wins attention, takes charge of a tense moment, and becomes the centre of the room.

Adam Barlow Quickly Turns Against Him in Coronation Street

While Alya seems happy to see Idris, Adam does not share the same feeling. Idris soon reveals that he has bought a property agency in Manchester, and Brody asks him for a job. It only seems to make Adam dislike him more.

Adam takes an instant dislike to Idris, and that could be a major problem. Fans know Adam does not always let things go. When he feels threatened or annoyed, he can become very determined to get his own back.

Gary Windass has already seen that side of Adam. Adam has tried to send Gary to prison more than once, so his grudges can become dangerous. If he decides Idris is bad news, this new rivalry could turn serious very quickly.

Idris may have entered the scene as Alya’s charming cousin, but Adam clearly sees him differently. Alya welcomes him, Leanne remembers him, and Brody sees a possible opportunity through him. But Adam seems to view him as a threat from the start.

Idris Nazir is already causing chaos on Coronation Street, and he has made an enemy before he has even settled in. With Adam Barlow watching him closely, Weatherfield’s newest arrival could bring plenty of trouble to the cobbles.
