The mystery around Theo Silverton’s death is getting more serious in Coronation Street, and now George Shuttleworth finds himself at the center of it all. As new details come out in the latest episode, things quickly take a tense turn. Now, everyone around George is questioning what really happened that night.
George Comes Under Suspicion As Theo’s Death Is Treated As Murder
In the latest episode, DS Lisa Connor-Swain arrives at Todd Grimshaw’s flat with important news about Theo Silverton. Viewers already knew that a body had been found in Weatherfield, but it was only last Friday that Theo was confirmed as the victim. Now, Lisa reveals that the case has become more serious, as Theo’s death is being treated as murder.
Christina Boyd overhears this conversation and becomes very uneasy. She quickly leaves the house and heads straight to the funeral parlour. When George Shuttleworth sees her there, he is confused by her behavior, especially when he notices that she is repeatedly cleaning his desk in a panic.
The reason for her reaction soon becomes clear. Christina has found George’s shirt covered in blood. When she questions him, George calmly says that the blood belongs to Theo and came from the fight that happened in the flat. Instead of calming her down, this only makes Christina more worried, especially now that she knows the police suspect murder.
Police Take George In For Questioning After Suspicious Moment
Christina, clearly shaken, tells George that Lisa believes Theo was murdered. She also asks him if he went anywhere else on the night Theo died. At that exact moment, Lisa walks in and catches them talking. Lisa immediately becomes suspicious. She questions what they were discussing and why they were holding a shirt with blood on it.
Without wasting time, she takes George to the police station for questioning. At the station, George is joined by Adam Barlow. He carefully explains what he did that night. However, his story raises concerns. He first says that he stayed at home for most of the evening, but then he admits that he went out for a walk. This detail does not sit well with Lisa and puts George in a difficult position.
Even though Lisa does not yet have enough physical evidence to prove that George killed Theo, she has not released him. This makes the situation even more worrying for those close to him. After hearing the news from Adam, Christina cannot stop thinking about everything that has happened. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers and behind-the-scenes updates.
