Tracy Barlow is about to face a frightening situation in Coronation Street, as her beloved flower shop Preston’s Petals comes under attack. But with her feud against Abi and Carl Webster already spiralling, suspicion quickly falls on whether this was just bad luck, or a calculated act of revenge.
The Pressure Builds
The battle lines had already been drawn when Tracy pushed Abi for the rest of her blackmail money. No longer willing to accept payments in instalments, she told Abi she wanted the cash by the end of the day, or she would expose Abi’s affair with Carl. Shaken by the threat, Abi turned to Carl for support. Carl, however, was only willing to hand over £500, making it clear that was all Tracy would get from him.
Abi, desperate to avoid disaster, suggested that maybe the best way forward was to tell Kevin the truth themselves before Tracy could blow everything apart. Carl wasn’t prepared for such honesty. Instead, he urged Abi to stand firm and call Tracy’s bluff. But with Carl’s dodgy past and willingness to cut corners, questions soon emerge about how far he might go to keep Tracy quiet.
A Shocking Attack on Preston’s Petals
Later in the week, disaster strikes when Preston’s Petals is trashed by a balaclava-clad criminal. Tracy is left terrified as she surveys the wreckage of her business. She’s unable to shake the fear that she’s being deliberately targeted. A Weatherfield source explained that Carl’s history makes him an obvious suspect. After he tried to curtail Tracy’s demands, she reminded him that she held the power in their standoff.
Abi still felt that confessing would be safer, but Carl rejected the idea and cheekily suggested testing Tracy’s nerve instead. With Tracy’s shop lying in ruins, did Carl act on his threats?
