Bethany’s Tough Exit From Weatherfield
The last time we saw Bethany was back in February, and she didn’t leave on easy terms. She’d gone through a nightmare in Turkey after a liposuction procedure went badly wrong. Things took a dangerous turn when she developed sepsis, and doctors had to fit her with a permanent stoma bag. Bethany was left struggling with her self-esteem as she tried to adjust to such a huge change in her life.
During that tough period, she and Daniel Osbourne grew close again, and the two even got engaged. For a moment, it looked like Bethany was on her way to a fresh start with him. But as often happens on the cobbles, things weren’t that simple. Daniel couldn’t shake old feelings for Daisy Midgeley, and a one-night stand between the two led to Daisy falling pregnant. Humiliated and heartbroken, Bethany walked away from Daniel and left for London.
Bethany’s Return Brings A Twist
Now Lucy Fallon is back filming after welcoming her daughter Nancy Margaret, who joins her son Sonny Jude. In a spoiler clip, we see police officer Jess visit Kit Green, who’s in an unusually cheerful mood. She tells him she needs his help to interview a suspect from a car theft chase.
Kit walks into the interview room expecting the usual, only to find Bethany sitting there waiting. Bethany explains to Kit that she quit her job in London, took her boss’s car without asking, and drove back up to Weatherfield. Her way of coming home hasn’t just surprised everyone, it’s also landed her straight in hot water with the law.
