Coronation Street has finally shown what Jodie Ramsey has really been doing to Daniel Osbourne. Daniel thinks she is helping him through his online trolling nightmare, but viewers now know the truth. Jodie is the person behind the cruel “Truthteller” account, and her plan for Daniel is much darker than he realises.
Jodie’s Support Was Never What It Seemed
Jodie Ramsey’s bond with Daniel Osbourne is not as innocent as it first seemed. Coronation Street has now confirmed that she is the one secretly targeting him online.
Daniel, played by Rob Mallard, has already been under pressure after learning the truth about how his partner Megan Walsh was grooming Will Driscoll. Since then, he has faced angry comments online, and the account called “Truthteller” has made things even worse for him.
In the latest episode, Daniel sat with Jodie at the Viaduct Bistro and looked through the angry replies to the account’s earlier messages. One message upset him more than the others. It read: “This person thinks I should be in prison with Megan.”
Jodie told Daniel to ignore it. But now viewers know she was not really trying to protect him. She was watching the damage she had caused while pretending to be on his side.
Daniel Points The Finger At The Wrong Person
Daniel first thought Megan might be behind the trolling, but he soon started to doubt that idea. Jodie then used that moment to point him in another direction.
She turned his attention to David Platt, who was sitting nearby at the bar with his phone in his hand. Jodie told Daniel that David “keeps looking over here,” which made Daniel think David could be the person behind the account.
The timing made things worse. When Jodie went to the bathroom, Daniel got another message from “Truthteller.” He then confronted David because he believed he had caught him in the act.
David was furious and denied it straight away. He told Daniel, “I’ve got a sick daughter in hospital, I’ve got better things to be spending my time on!” But Daniel still struggled to believe him at first.
Jodie Keeps Daniel Away From The Truth
David then showed Daniel what he had really been doing on his phone. He had only been watching a fun video of Lily. Daniel realised he had got it wrong, apologised, and left the Bistro with Jodie.
Later, Daniel told Jodie he felt like an “idiot.” But Jodie did not push him to keep looking for the real person behind the account. Instead, she told him to “stop trying to figure out who’s behind this account” and said, “It’s clearly driving you a bit mad.”
That made her plan even clearer to viewers. Jodie was not just sending messages from a hidden account. She was also making Daniel doubt himself and keeping him away from the truth.
She then offered to stay around a little longer instead of looking for her own place. Daniel agreed, thinking she was being supportive. But Jodie clearly wanted to stay close to him for her own reasons.
Jodie Makes Her Next Move Against Daniel
When Daniel went to rustle up some food, Jodie was left alone. That was when viewers saw the truth for themselves. She took out her phone and secretly posted another message as “Truthteller.”
The message read: “How Daniel Osbourne is still a teacher, I don’t know. He clearly has a dodgy history with his students, if his assault on Max Platt is anything to go by. Imagine having a vendetta against a kid when you’re an adult, even worse a teacher.”
This showed that Jodie’s plan is not just about upsetting Daniel. She is going after his reputation, his job, and his past mistakes. Daniel still thinks she is someone he can trust, but she is the one causing the trouble right beside him.
Coronation Street has not yet revealed exactly what Jodie wants from Daniel. But her dark plan is now out in the open for viewers, and Daniel could be in much bigger trouble before he finally learns the truth.
