Carl Turns To Fiona As His Money Problems Grow
Carl is under increasing pressure as he tries to rebuild his life. However, his plans suffer a major setback when Kevin refuses to give him a reference for a job at another local garage. With few options left, Carl gets an unexpected lifeline when Fiona Morley returns to Weatherfield.
Viewers will remember Fiona from last year, when she worked alongside Carl in a stolen vehicle operation. Fiona offers Carl a job that promises easy money, and although he knows it could lead to trouble, the financial reward is difficult to ignore.
Explaining Carl’s decision, Jonathan Howard said: “Carl does try to turn the job down, but then he gets offered so much money to do it.”
The actor continued: “It’s a quick and easy job for him. He thinks it will give him a bit of a buffer to start his new life. But as with everything else he does, it doesn’t go quite to plan.”
Carl Makes A Dangerous Mistake At The Garage
Before long, Carl realizes he may have made the wrong decision.
According to Jonathan, Carl’s attempts to make fast money rarely work out the way he hopes. He explained: “He gets himself in trouble with everything that he’s ever tried to do. He always falls short of his plans to make a quick buck. And as we’re going to see in these episodes, it doesn’t quite go to plan.”
Things become even more alarming when Fiona gives Carl a gun as part of her plan. The situation takes a shocking turn when Carl finds himself in another heated argument with Kevin at the garage.
In a moment of anger, Carl pulls out the weapon. The dramatic confrontation leaves everyone involved shaken and creates even more problems for the troubled mechanic.
Coronation Street: Fiona Delivers A Chilling Ultimatum
Although Carl makes it through the garage drama, he soon discovers that Fiona is far from finished with him.
Later, at the Chariot Square Hotel, Fiona confronts Carl again. She is furious that he has not followed her instructions and makes it clear that she expects him to do exactly as she says from now on.
Fiona gives Carl a strict one-week deadline and warns him that his life “won’t be worth living” if he fails to cooperate. The threat leaves Carl deeply worried about what might happen next.
